Once upon a time...

Once upon a time (last year exactly) I got a beautiful surprise from my quilting friends: 11 different quilting  blocks  of 12.5 inches  and circa about autumn colors. A lot of time  passed  before I sew them  all together, but here they are:

I got a free hand in their joining together. So I chose bronze cotton satin for the border and backing. As a twelfth block I added a square from the fabric, which I liked very much, but I have no idea what to do with it. And here it fits perfectly:

Blocks vary: applique, quilt piecing, paper piecing .... Patterns and colors too. The biggest puzzle was with the muffin - how to balance its cheerful colors. So I added a binding with more or less the same colorful little flowers and it came out pretty good.

And here is the whole quilt : (53 x 68 inches):

Thank you my friends !
