Tartan sheep

This small wall hanging was made using a Rachel Pellman quilt pattern published in Quilt Country.  Very good for practicing hand applique. The fabrics used in the original pattern were too "cute" so I decided to use cotton tartan fabrics. 

And this is the original pattern:

I used a Freezer paper method  for the hand applique. Than I hand quilted it - so you can see the sheep even on the back side of the quilt.
