When rectangles meet circles

This is a wall hanging I made for a person who loves curved lines. I prefer rather edges, but it wasn't a big problem to accommodate our preferences. And both of us are happy with this wall hanging !

Rectangular elements were soften by the patterns of fabrics used, circular stitching of one side of black strips, free motion quilting and above all multicolored circles. Hand-sewn they look like bubbles. I quilted it with a special FMQ foot which doesn't hop - it  was like painting with a soft brush !

The wall hanging should hand diagonally on the wall, but it looks great also laying like this in the carpet.
