Green hills

Another wall hanging - this time a was just a peon - the quilt was designed by a young but very talented designer. She has also chosen herself  all the fabrics. I'm really impressed how great job she did !

Underwater meadow and silver spider

During the exhibition in Zielona Gora I took part in the course of confetti patchwork organized by the Association of Polish Patchwork and run by Anna Sławińska. Confetti patchwork is not my cup of tea , so I made something a little bit different:

Depends on the scale

It seemed to me that I was making large quilts - a quilt which is 2 by 2 meters is rather large one. It turns out that everything depends on the scale.

Quilt and nature in Zielona Gora

I was at the opening (well, a little after, because the train was late) of the exhibition "Quilt and Nature" in the Kepler Science Centre in Zielona Gora, organized by the Association of Polish Patchwork and a very active  local quilting group Lub.Patchwork.

Curved only

Quilt with curved  lines only - I thought it was not my cup of tea. But I did and I liked working on it. And sewing it.

Sew as you go but with a plan

It looks like a very simple thing: a quilt made from squares. You might say: too boring to sew. But not at all ! It all depends on the choice of fabric - here is a  full color harmony. And joy.

3 rooms with a kitchen

"3 rooms with kitchen" in Warsaw is a unique place. It's a common space for local activities. I came there a year ago with an idea of conducting weekly quilting workshops open to everyone and free of charge.

Minecraft

I made this quilt which is about 28'' x 79" as a gift - to hang it on the wall over the bed.

I used a special polyester hollow fiber batting, so the quilt is very warm and protects against hitting the wall.  I quilted it with the Monolon Madeira invisible thread -  I didn't want to cover Minecrafts' pictures with colorful thread.

I'm really pround of myself :)

Art Quilt workshop

Last weekend I attended the Art Quilt workshop organised by Kiboko, whose works I admire  a lot. I made a portofolio binder using  mixed media: angelina fiber, tyvek, vliseline, fabric paints...  And  an iron, soldering iron and an embossing heat tool.

Flowers...

I made some time ago a stained glass  flower using Clover's termo bias. Now I  used this piece of work as a part of a pillow combining it with free motion quilting.

From scraps with love

I finally used deeply stored scraps from the bed cover from my blog's background (plus some new fabrics, but the same colours). Only 4 blocks (the bed cover - 12) - so I made it quite fast ;) But with a heavy heart  - the scraps were so nice ...

When rectangles meet circles

This is a wall hanging I made for a person who loves curved lines. I prefer rather edges, but it wasn't a big problem to accommodate our preferences. And both of us are happy with this wall hanging !
